File Linking
File Linking lets you generate one-time local file links and reuse them in Notion whenever needed.
How It Works
- 1. Open Mappings -> File links.
- 2. Select a local file path (and optional label).
- 3. Generate the file link.
- 4. Copy the Notion-ready link and paste it where you need it.
Important Behavior
- - File links are one-time generated entries that can be reused.
- - They are not lifecycle-synced mappings.
- - File creations, deletions, and renames are not tracked automatically for these links.
- - If a file is moved or deleted, regenerate or remove the old link.
Limits
- - Basic: usage is shown as used/limit with remaining count.
- - Pro/Team: stored file-link counts are shown in-app.
- - Plan rules are always enforced by your current account tier.
